House Location
The house is situated in the village of Beruwala on the Southwest coast in a quiet residential area approximately 10 minutes walk or a few minutes by tuk tuk to the beach or main road shopping area.
Beruwala can be found on the map of Sri Lanka at the tours page and also detailed on the Southwest coast page.
Deep sea fishing boats can be seen unloading their catch at Beruwala harbour after they have been away fishing for a week out at sea near the Maldives Islands. Next to the harbour is the Kechchimalai Mosque which is one of the oldest in Sri Lanka. Off the coast is an island with an operational lighthouse, you can have an outrigger canoe or motorboat take you across to the island and climb to the lighthouse for views along the coast.
The housekeeper will pick you up from the airport, organise tours, offer advice and help you plan your stay so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Breakfast is included in the rental charge but a cook is also available for lunches or evening meals at the house if required. For eating out Beruwala and neighbouring Bentota have a good choice of restaurants from budget to A la carte at very reasonable prices. The hotels also allow non residents to eat at their normal buffet restaurants which are good value for money with a wide range of foods.
